Build the App Your Business Actually Needs
Most businesses that ask for an app need a fast mobile website instead — and we will tell you so. When an app genuinely is the answer, we build it properly.
When You Need an App — and When You Really Don't
An app costs several lakh to build and needs continuous maintenance as Android and iOS release breaking changes. That is worth it in specific situations and wasteful in many others.
An app makes sense when
- Users return frequently — daily or weekly, not twice a year
- You need device features: GPS tracking, camera scanning, offline mode, push notifications
- The workflow is complex enough that a browser genuinely gets in the way
- You are replacing a manual internal process — field staff, delivery, inventory
A mobile website is the better answer when
- Customers buy occasionally — most retail and service businesses
- You mainly need to display information, take bookings or accept payments
- Discoverability matters, since apps do not appear in Google search results
- Budget is under ₹2,00,000 — a great website beats a poor app every time
We have talked several clients out of app projects. It costs us the revenue and it is still the right call.

What Founders Ask
How much does it cost to develop an app in India?
A genuine MVP starts around ₹1,50,000 and a production cross-platform app with payments, notifications and an admin panel typically lands between ₹2,50,000 and ₹4,00,000. Quotes far below that usually exclude backend work, testing, store submission or source code ownership — costs that reappear later. Always ask what is excluded, not just what is included.
Native or cross-platform — which should I choose?
Cross-platform, using React Native or Flutter, suits roughly 80% of business apps: one codebase, both stores, considerably lower cost, and performance that is indistinguishable for typical use. Choose native when you need heavy graphics, intensive background processing, complex Bluetooth or camera work, or the absolute best possible performance.
Do you handle Play Store and App Store submission?
Yes, including developer account setup, store listing copy, screenshots, privacy policy requirements and the review process. Apple's review is the stricter of the two and rejections are common on first submission — we handle the back-and-forth. We also cover app store optimisation so the listing is actually discoverable.
Who owns the source code?
You do, in full, on final payment — repository access, documentation and all credentials. The developer accounts are registered in your business name from the start, so you are never locked out of your own listing.
An App Needs an Audience
